Orchid Care, Made Simple

Everything you need to keep your orchid healthy, happy, and blooming again.

Orchid Anatomy & Care Essentials

Every orchid tells its story through its parts. From strong roots to graceful stems and delicate blooms, understanding orchid anatomy helps you care for them effortlessly and enjoy their beauty longer.

Watering

Once every 7–10 days is all it takes. Use about ¼ cup of room-temperature water, poured slowly near the base. The biggest mistake most people make? Overwatering. When in doubt, wait one more day.

Light

Orchids love bright light — just not direct sun. A spot near a window with filtered light is ideal. Too little light and blooms won’t return. Too much and the leaves will scorch. The sweet spot is easier to find than you think.

Reblooming

When your blooms drop, don’t panic — and don’t throw it away. Trim the spike just above a healthy node and give it time. With the right light and a 10°F drop in nighttime temperature, new buds can appear within 8–12 weeks. Patience is the secret ingredient.

When Something Looks Off

Yellowing leaves usually mean too much water or too little light. Shriveled roots mean it’s thirsty. Both are easy to fix once you know what to look for — and your orchid will bounce back faster than you’d expect.

Refreshing Your Arrangement

When your orchid finishes blooming, it’s the perfect moment to refresh. Simply replace it with a new orchid — your vessel stays, your arrangement comes back to life. That’s the C&S way.
